Donkey Kong has to climb to the top screen while avoiding all kinds of obstacles such as blue and orange barrels that the angry ape is throwing at Mario. Once he gets to the top he will release his girlfriend and the level is finished. Just like people back in 80s who used the game pad and game stick, nowdays you're supposed to use only keyboard to move Mario up and down the platform ladders. It is very uncommon for old arcades to use mouse. Therefore, use left and right arrow keys to move around the steel structure.Power ups
The game is minimal in power-ups. You can collect hammer which will stay active for a limited period of time, diring which you will be capable of destroying incoming barrels, instead of running away from them or jumping them over. The problem is that you must be careful since this power might leave you at the bad moment.Obstacles
- Moving fire flames
- Blue barrels falling
- Orange barrels rolling
You got 3 lives in total, and you're supposed to loose them very vet fast. The reason for that is obvious., Just like any other arcade, the game was supposed to be addictive thus making you try again and again, putting just one more coins into the machine slot. Well, finally you don't have to pay for it.
Below you can see two screenshots taken from the game: (1) Super Mario gets to his girl i.e. Level 1 complete, and (2) Mario looses life by getting hit by the orange barrel
