While trying to fly in the first sequel, our penguin eventually ended up in a hospital. He is hooked up to an IV and his head is heavily wrapped. However, when he reads the headline in the paper, ridiculing his attempts and his failure, he totally lost it. He decided to give it another shot and show the whole world that penguins actually can fly!

Which version is the real one?

I have to admit that finding the real version of 'Learn to Fly 2' for our site monkeygamesworld.com was bit of a challenge. There really are two versions in existence. There is an older one 1.0 and it is published on Kongregate site, who is an official sponsor by the way. Second version is 1.14, a more recent one and that is the one I have uploaded. Besides these two, there are also hacked versions which include cheats. So, to make it all completely clear, this version you are about to play is the real one and its title is 'The Emperor Strikes Back'. The biggest confusion was made by those sites who claim to host Learn to Fly 4, which doesn't make any sense, since Learn to Fly 3 hasn't even been out yet (it's making started in march 2014 ????).

What is it about?

Gameplay and controls (two arrow keys!) are quite simple, however the number of upgrade options is ridiculous. In this game every aspect of sliding down the slope was meticulously elaborated. Everything is in function of achieving the maximum speed, hight and at the end covering the best distance. The tools used by the penguin vary widely. The tools can be a simple wooden board or some kind of rocket or even various futuristic flying contraptions. And that is exactly why this game can rather be called a strategy then a simple skilled based game.

What to expect in Learn to Fly 3?

It looks like our penguin will be reaching for the stars in sequel number 3. He will be flying straight up in space. His mission remains the same. He is doing this just out of spite, to show the whole world that penguins really can fly. Third sequel will be different because penguin will be flying vertically. And since there will be those who don't like that idea, an option to move back to 'classic' mode will be made, and penguin will fly horizontally just like before. Here we can also expect even more advanced system of upgrades. You will be able to buy space suit and then upgrade it with rockets, engines, gadgets and boosts. See below picture with all gadgets.
