Rocket Monkeys vs Gorillas
You are in :Action Monkey Games
How to Play
Your task is to help little monkeys to get to the Gasi planet before the Gorillas do. You should move the ship up and down using arrow keys on the keyboard and thus avoid obstacles and projectiles shot at you from the enemy ship. It is very desirable to collect bonus points and necessary to collect power ups. Power ups are activated by pressing the spacebar and that is practically the only possible way you can speed up your ship and overtake the Gorillas. However, even when you are in front of them, Gorillas will shoot at you from the back and shoot out heat guided projectiles. If you win the race you advance to the next level. That is how you unlock new power ups (e.g. banana burger), Gorillas also get more powerful weapons, and goal is to get to yet another planet (Planet X, Planet Eye etc...).
About the Game
Rocket Monkeys is relatively new Canadian animated series currently aired on Canadian TV station Teletoon, Nickelodeon and Nicktoons. Idea began in 2007, when it was briefly picked up by Warner Brothers but was very quickly abandoned. This series has survived thanks to the production house Breakthrough Entertainment and they are also signed as producers of this game.
Who are Rocket Monkeys
Rocket Monkeys is a two monkey team: brothers Gus and Wally, and they are not the brightest astronauts in the universe, but certainly do not lack in fighting spirit and desire to prove themselves in numerous intergalactic adventures. Gus is older of the two and also more serious and more responsible - or at least he is trying to be. Due to the desire to become the superhero, he constantly drags with him his younger brother Wally, who doesn't have much of a desire to be a hero, but for the most part does what needs to be done. On the ship there is also a robot Yay-Ok and he is their adviser and guardian and he is also programmed to help them not to get lost in space.
Rocket Monkeys Series Trailer
You can see the Rocket Monkeys trailer on YouTube below. You will notice that all characters in the game look the same as in the series, as well as their space ship. At the end you will also see their famous unsuccessful hi five greeting, just like they do it in the game at the end of every successfully finished level.
