Gorilla Cop | You are in :Shooting Monkey Games |
I've never heard of Rusty Ivan's mafia, 'Gorilla Cop' or kamikaze-bees before, but here they are, in this short action-packed shooting game. As you can figure out from the introduction, Gorilla is a bad-ass cop who keeps the whole town safe under his patronage. On the other hand, there are of course bad guys, which are in this case under control of a guy who calls himself Rusty Ivan. Since Gorilla became a 'a pain in the neck', Ivan decides to take care of him by first kidnapping his beloved girlfriend, and than by sending a whole swarm of kamikaze-bees to kill Gorilla. Our hero does not indent to yield to the numerous flying pests. He pulls out his guns and start shooting right as they come.
Stilted Into but minimalistic gameplay
Behind the stilted intro, there's actually a pretty thin one-scene shooter. There's a guy who resembles a bear, who's firing the bees out of a bazooka (Rusty Ivan, I presume), standing on the nearby building's rooftop (let's call him a bazooka-bear). Our hero's mission is to shoot dead all the bees from the scene, until there's none left. At that point our bazooka bear retreats, and the player moves to the next level. Except for a different background image, there's nothing new on the higher levels. Even the hardness level stays the same, which is odd. The graphics is very colorful and interesting, but the gameplay is repetitive and not well-thought through as we would expect from the introduction.
